Leeds City Museum

After arriving back to Leeds from Hebden Bridge, I then went to the Leeds City Museum.  There were lots of things to see including World View: Out of Africa Gallery, Life on Earth, Ancient Worlds, Leeds Collectors Gallery, The Leeds Story and The Leeds Arena.  Also an exhibition that changes quite frequently, at the moment they have 'Silver 70s Family Portrait' which showed how people live during the 70s.

There are several different events that happen each and every month of the year.  This is a great gallery for kids and school groups of all ages for a day out.  There are many different games and challenges for children to take part in during the museum.  Of course I didn't take part and took many photographs.  But I found it interesting as I quite like history especially when it comes to nature.

I apologies for the really long post. Enjoy :)

  1. What an interesting blog, introduced by a thought-provoking photo. The unusual wall painting of the dwellings is also a strangely modern interpretation. Something like this hieroglyphic view of a park by Swiss painter Paul Klee, http://EN.WahooArt.com/A55A04/w.nsf/OPRA/BRUE-8LT475.
The image can be seen at wahooart.com who can supply you with a canvas print of it.
